A thick layer of cream is applied to the surface of the skin, covered with a sealed dressing and kept on for 1.5 to 2 hours.
Compound Lidocaine Cream is mainly used for anesthetic treatment of superficial surgical procedures and also for local anesthesia in patients with needle puncture. This product may produce local reactions at the application site, with pallor, erythema (redness) and edema being more common.
It should be applied in a standardized manner under the guidance of a doctor. It should be prohibited for use in patients who are allergic to anesthetics, or in patients with congenital or idiopathic methemoglobin.
