Liang Qiu point is located in the anterior femoral area, 2 inches above the base of the patella, between the lateral femoral muscle and rectus femoris tendon. To take the point correctly, one should first find the anatomical landmarks of the greater trochanter of the femur and the popliteal transverse stripe (the tip of the patella), and make it clear that the straight line between the two points is 19 inches, so that one can take the point accurately.
Liangqiu is a Qie point of the Foot Yangming Stomach Meridian. It is located in the anterior femoral region and is covered with the anterior cutaneous branch of the femoral nerve and the lateral cutaneous nerve of the femur at the superficial level, and the descending branch of the lateral femoral artery and vein and the muscular branch of the femoral nerve at the deeper level.
Liang Qiu is effective in clearing the channels and joints, harmonizing the stomach and relieving pain, and can be used to treat acute stomach pain, blood in urine, knee swelling and pain, and lower limb paralysis. Liang Qiu is used to treat acute gastric pain with Zhongkou, Neiguan, and Ashansanli; and to treat knee pain with Calvaria, Yanglingquan, and Knee Yangguan.
If you need acupuncture, it is recommended to go to a regular hospital to be operated by a professional doctor, and not to operate on your own, so as not to cause injury.
