Clinical manifestations of varicocele: 1. In mild patients, there may not be any conscious symptoms, and the thickened varicose veins may be occasionally felt by hand, or there may be occasional discomfort such as scrotal swelling and pain when standing for a long time or excessive activity. On examination, it can be seen that the scrotal skin has no vascular varicosities, however, the thickened vessels can be touched by hand and the thickened veins can disappear rapidly when lying down. 2. In moderate patients, there may be swelling and discomfort in the scrotal testicles, which is especially aggravated when moving. The varicose veins and thickened blood vessels on the scrotum can be seen on examination at this time, which are more obvious when touched by hand and disappear slowly when lying down. 3. Patients with more than severe degree may have swelling and pain in the testicles and scrotum from time to time. Long-term varicocele may even cause unilateral testicular atrophy, textural softening and dysfunction. When touched by hand, obvious mass-like thickened veins can be felt, and the thickened veins do not disappear after lying down.
