What is the disease mpn

MPN is an acronym for myeloproliferative disorders. Myeloproliferative disorders are a large group of disordered clonal neoplastic diseases of hematopoietic stem cells. Due to disordered cloning of hematopoietic stem cells, the condition results in abnormally high numbers of one or more lines of blood cells in the peripheral blood, which can manifest as abnormally high numbers of white blood cells, red blood cells and platelets in the peripheral blood, often accompanied by hepatosplenomegaly. Clinically, myeloproliferative disorders include four categories: chronic granulocytic leukemia, true erythropoietic disorder, primary thrombocytosis, and myelofibrosis. For example, in patients with true erythroblastosis and prothrombocytosis, a small percentage of patients with a history of more than 10 years can turn into acute leukemia, while chronic granulocytic leukemia can also turn into acute leukemia.
