The correct position for chest compressions in adults is the middle and lower 1/3 of the sternum. The correct method of compression is that the patient lies flat on the hardboard bed, the rescuer’s arms are straight, palms overlap, fingers crossed, pressed on the middle and lower 1/3 of the sternum, relying on the strength of the upper body to press downward, the depth of each compression is 5cm, the frequency of 80-100 times/min, the index of the effective compression is that the blood pressure is able to reach 90/60mmHg. The index of the success of the resuscitation is that the patient’s consciousness is restored, pupil narrowing and blood pressure is restored to 90/60mmHg. Recovery to 90/60mmHg, marking the success of the rescue.
