Fever can be lowered physically. Physical cooling is a commonly used method of cooling down fever and can take many forms, including cold compresses and warm water wipes. Cold compress refers to the use of ice packs placed on the forehead, armpits, sides of the neck, groin and other parts of the body, by reducing the temperature of the blood flow in the local blood vessels, to achieve the purpose of reducing fever. However, it should be noted that cold compresses should be wrapped in a layer of towels outside the ice bag to avoid causing frostbite. Warm water wipe is to wipe the forehead, back, armpits and other parts of the skin, through the evaporation of water to take away the heat, to achieve the purpose of heat dissipation, fever reduction. Fever can be physically cooled down, but it is recommended to consult a doctor in time and standardize the treatment after a clear diagnosis to avoid delaying the condition.
