What does anemia in late stage of lung cancer mean?

There are two kinds of anemia in late stage of lung cancer, which should be treated differently: firstly, treatment-related anemia, because lung cancer treatment often requires radiotherapy, and radiotherapy in late stage of lung cancer often causes bone marrow suppression due to the side effects of treatment, and this bone marrow suppression causes the decrease of hematopoietic function, which will produce anemia. Secondly, as lung cancer patients develop into advanced stage, the tumor frantically steals nutrients from human body or there is infiltration of bone marrow, which causes hematopoietic dysfunction and anemia. Therefore, if advanced lung cancer patients have anemia, they should be treated differently. No matter what, the root cause should be to improve such symptoms by treating the tumor and stimulating blood production at the same time.
