If the result of cervical cancer screening is only cervicitis, it is not serious. It is perfectly fine to relax and not to give yourself too much mental and psychological burden. There are acute and chronic cervicitis. Acute cervicitis is usually caused by infection, with Chlamydia trachomatis and gonococcus being the main pathogens, and most of them can be cured with standard treatment; while chronic cervicitis is mostly not related to acute infection, but is often caused by long-term chronic inflammatory stimulation, resulting in changes such as polyp hyperplasia and cervical hypertrophy. The common symptoms of cervicitis include bleeding during intercourse, increased or purulent discharge, and in severe cases, urinary tract infection symptoms such as frequent and painful urination, but it does not mean that these symptoms are cervicitis, other gynecological diseases may also manifest as the above symptoms, so once the symptoms appear, you should actively seek medical attention at the hospital to avoid delaying the diagnosis and treatment of the disease. It is important to note that a smooth cervix is not necessarily linked to the presence of cervicitis or lesions. The commonly referred to cervical erosion is a physiological change caused by the outward migration of the cervical columnar epithelium, and the common cervical hypertrophy and glandular cysts generally do not require treatment. It should be emphasized that most cervicitis will improve with standard treatment, but must be screened for cervical cancer first, i.e. TCT, HPV.
