Can pregnant women eat yak meat?

Yak beef can be eaten in small amounts during pregnancy. Yak beef is very high in protein and most of the amino acids are essential amino acids needed by the human body. It is low in fat and high in mineral-like nutrients such as calcium, phosphorus, iron and vitamin-like nutrients such as carotene and B vitamins. Eating yak beef properly during pregnancy can provide the baby’s growth and development needs for protein, fat and mineral-based nutrients, can prevent iron deficiency anemia caused by iron deficiency in pregnant women, can strengthen the body’s resistance to disease, and can help improve physical fatigue symptoms during pregnancy. However, over-eating can easily lead to elevated blood lipids and excessive weight gain of the baby.
