Topical medication: If the symptoms are mild, benzoyl peroxide can be used topically to kill Propionibacterium acnes, dissolve and astringent pimples; salicylic acid can be used topically to peel off the epidermis, exfoliate, and reduce the size of pores; if the inflammation is obvious, topical antimicrobials can be used to treat the problem, such as fusidic acid cream, mupirocin ointment, and so on.
3. Oral medication: for severe acne, timely anti-inflammatory treatment is needed, oral antibacterial drugs such as minocycline, doxycycline, etc., to reduce inflammation; severe acne, oral isotretinoin can also be used to reduce lipid secretion, and then treat acne, but this drug has teratogenic side effects, men and women of childbearing age or pregnant women are prohibited; if the face of the acne is more, oral prednisone and other glucocorticosteroids can be used to treat the acne.
4. Physical therapy: For mild acne, the medication can be combined with physical therapy such as red light and blue light to improve the symptoms; for moderate to severe acne, intense pulsed light therapy can be taken.
If students have acne, parents are advised to bring them to regular hospitals in time for standardized treatment as prescribed by the doctor, and the medication should be used according to the doctor’s instructions, not self-medication.
