Whether a gastric polyp is serious or not needs to be determined according to the patient’s condition, most patients have less serious gastric polyps. If the polyps are small benign polyps, proliferative or inflammatory polyps, the chance of cancer is small and less serious, so the patient can pay attention to diet and regular monitoring. Gastroscopy should be reviewed regularly. Usually, gastric polyps smaller than 5mm have no obvious symptoms and do not require surgery and can be observed regularly, while those over 5mm mostly need surgery to be removed. Patients need to eat a semi-liquid diet, such as porridge and soup, for 2-3 days after surgery. If there is obvious black stool, blood in stool, nausea, vomiting, etc. after surgery, gastroscopy should be reviewed promptly.
