Diarrhea after taking misoprostol is not a normal manifestation, it is a side effect of misoprostol. Many patients taking misoprostol abortion may experience adverse side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, fever in the hands and feet, rash or even chills, etc. If the symptoms are mild and can be tolerated there is no need for any treatment. If the symptoms are more severe, they should be treated aggressively. Therefore, patients are advised to try to be observed in the hospital while taking misoprostol. If these side effects are mild, additional doses can be taken if the results are not good after taking misoprostol. If these symptoms are more severe and the abortion is not achieved by taking misoprostol, additional doses are not recommended, but rather the option of a curettage procedure for remedy.
