Treatments to relieve symptoms of cerebral palsy

Cerebral palsy itself cannot be cured, the brain damage is generally irreversible, and the aim of cerebral palsy treatment is not originally to cure the brain damage. Many external symptoms of children with cerebral palsy, such as limb movement disorder, abnormal posture, language disorder, mental retardation, salivation, strabismus, etc., can be helped by various methods and scientific means to provide a good relief. For the treatment of cerebral palsy, we adhere to the advanced treatment concept: rehabilitation training – surgical intervention – targeted rehabilitation training – psychological treatment –Return to society. Treating a child with cerebral palsy is a huge systemic project, not simply surgery. The following methods are available to relieve the symptoms of cerebral palsy: medication, rehabilitation training, and surgery. The general treatment is mainly rehabilitation, surgical intervention if necessary, psychological treatment, and finally skills training are needed to enable the patient to return to society. The types of cerebral palsy are mainly divided into the following: 1. spastic, mixed type 2. tardive dyskinesia, bradykinesia, ataxia The spastic type accounts for 70% and the others account for 30%. If rehabilitation training is ineffective or ineffective, surgical intervention is required. The surgical treatment is different for different symptoms. For spastic cerebral palsy or mixed cerebral palsy with spastic symptoms, depending on the severity of spasticity and the accumulated limb range, peripheral nerve narrowing or selective posterior spinal nerve root amputation can be used for treatment, which can effectively relieve the spasticity of the limb and improve the motor function of the limb with significant and definite effect. For the treatment of hand-foot vertiginous cerebral palsy, ataxic cerebral palsy, mixed cerebral palsy with hand-foot vertiginous movement and torsional spasm, cerebral palsy and cerebral dysplasia accompanied by mental retardation, salivation, speech disorders, strabismus, etc., carotid artery epicraniectomy can be performed to effectively improve the symptoms.
