For nodules in the posterior segment of the upper lobe of the right lung, there are two general approaches: outpatient regular follow-up chest CT observation and surgical resection, which need to be chosen in the light of the size of the nodule, imaging features and nodule pathology. 1. Lung nodules smaller than 8mm can be selected for outpatient regular review of chest CT observation. 2. Lung nodule size between 8mm~20mm: (1) If imaging examination and pathologic biopsy suggest benign nodules, and if there are no obvious clinical symptoms, observation can be continued. (2) If imaging and pathologic biopsy suggest malignant nodules, surgical resection is recommended if there are no obvious contraindications to surgery. (3) Lung nodules larger than 20 mm, regardless of whether the nodule is malignant or benign, surgical resection is recommended if there are no obvious contraindications to surgery. For nodules in the posterior segment of the upper lobe of the right lung, it is recommended to go to the Department of Thoracic Surgery of the hospital for further consultation.
