Difference between talc and gypsum

The difference between talc and gypsum is the medicinal properties of the meridian, efficacy and so on, specific as follows:
1. Medicinal properties of the meridian: talc and gypsum are cold, but gypsum is cold; both enter the stomach meridian, but talc can also enter the bladder meridian, gypsum can also enter the lung meridian.
2. Efficacy: Talc has the effect of clearing away heat, diuretic and diaphoretic (to improve the problem of urine dribbling, small amount of urine is not passable), etc., the main treatment of summer dampness, heat drenching (burning and stinging pain when urinating, accompanied by urinary frequency and urgency, discomfort in the abdomen), stone drenching (discharging gravel during urination, or sudden interruption of urination, pain in the urethra, intolerable pain in the lower back and abdomen) and so on;
Talc can also be used externally to collect dampness and astringent sores (to reduce the invasion of dampness and promote the healing of sores), and to treat eczema and wet sores;
Gypsum has the efficacy of clearing heat and fire, eliminating annoyance and quenching thirst, treating lung-heat cough and asthma, headache, hyperthermia, high fever and thirst, external fever, etc. Externally, it has the efficacy of astringing sores and regenerating muscles (to help the sores to heal faster and promote the growth of new flesh), and stopping bleeding, which can be used for bleeding from wounds, eczema, etc. The above medicines need to be recognized by a TCM practitioner.
The above medicines should be taken under the guidance of a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner, and should not be used blindly by oneself to avoid adverse reactions.
