What are the side effects of Dasatinib

Dasatinib is a targeted therapeutic agent for the treatment of chronic granulocytic leukemia and belongs to the second generation of tyrosine kinase inhibitors, mainly for patients who are imatinib resistant or cannot tolerate imatinib. Common side effects of dasatinib include: i. Myelosuppression, which can cause a decrease in platelets, neutrophils and hemoglobin. ii. Some patients may develop a rash with itchy skin, headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and muscle and bone pain. Some patients will develop fluid retention, most commonly pleural effusion, and patients will have symptoms such as chest tightness and shortness of breath. A few patients will also develop pericardial effusion and bilateral lower limb edema. Fourth, some patients will also develop liver function impairment. In the process of using dasatinib, patients must have regular blood tests and liver function tests, once the blood picture and liver function abnormalities appear, the dosage should be reduced or discontinued if necessary.
