Early Symptoms of Cerebral Palsy in Preterm Infants

Cerebral palsy in preterm babies is not necessarily found at the same time, parents need to observe carefully, pay attention to observe the following aspects: 1, motor backwardness and active movement reduction, normal children will raise their head when they are in prone position at three months, and kick their legs when they are in supine position, while children with cerebral palsy seldom have these movements, normal children can actively reach out and touch things when they are 4-6 months old, but children with cerebral palsy have very little activity of their upper limbs; 2, abnormal muscle tone, children with cerebral palsy have lower or higher muscle tone than normal children. Abnormal muscle tone, children with cerebral palsy have lower or higher muscle tone than normal children; 3. Abnormal posture, children with cerebral palsy often have head tilting backward, falling backward when sitting at 6 months, legs clenching, and difficulty in changing diapers; 4. Abnormal reflexes, normal children’s head position is suddenly lowered, and they have embracing reflexes such as frightening manifestations, which usually disappears after 6 months, but children with cerebral palsy don’t, and they also have other kinds of reflexes abnormality. In addition, some physiological reflexes and pathological reflexes need to be examined to assess whether the child has cerebral palsy symptoms through these symptoms to further determine whether the child is suffering from cerebral palsy. Parents are advised to go to the hospital as soon as possible when abnormalities are detected.
