Frequent swelling of the eyes may be related to visual fatigue, dry eye, keratitis or glaucoma. If the eyes are often dry and sore, accompanied by a feeling of swelling, mostly seen in computer workers, it may be caused by visual fatigue and dry eye syndrome, which requires rest to avoid overworking the eyes. The eyes can be treated with artificial tear drops, periocular acupressure and local hot compresses. If the eyes are often swollen, photophobic and tearful, it may be caused by keratitis, which requires anti-infection treatment after the cause is identified. If the eyes are often swollen, accompanied by vision loss, head pain or even nausea and vomiting, you need to go to the ophthalmology department for an eye pressure check to rule out the possibility of glaucoma. If the diagnosis of glaucoma is confirmed, treatment to lower the intraocular pressure is needed.
