The most common psychological problem of empty nesters is —- empty nest syndrome. Instead of a single anxiety, depression compulsion, or suspicion, empty nest syndrome is a multiple group of symptoms such as anxiety, depression, loneliness, isolation, and behavioral withdrawal. The core cause of empty nest syndrome is lack of love. Love is an integral part of the quality of life. The lack of love makes the empty nesters’ mental and physical health suffer and the quality of life is low . Empty nest syndrome shows depression, despondency, and behavioral withdrawal, expressing doubts about the value of their existence, falling into a state of desirelessness, hopelessness, helplessness, and disinterest, and in serious cases, self-injurious and suicidal behavior, which may even lead to dementia.
