How invasive breast cancer is treated

Invasive breast cancer is usually treated mainly by surgery and combined with postoperative chemotherapy, radiotherapy, endocrine therapy, targeted therapy, biological therapy and traditional Chinese medicine. Surgical treatments include breast-conserving surgery, simple mastectomy, segmental mastectomy, radical mastectomy and extended radical mastectomy. After surgery, it is necessary to decide whether chemotherapy is needed and specify the corresponding chemotherapy program and cycle according to the condition. If the breast cancer mass is large, adjuvant chemotherapy can be administered before surgery to shrink the breast mass to achieve preservability, downgrading and resectability.
