Patchouli Zhengqi Pill and Fangfeng Tongsheng Pill can be taken together under doctor’s supervision.
Patchouli Zhengqi Pill is composed of Patchouli, Perilla frutescens, Angelica dahurica, Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae, and Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae, etc. It is able to dissolve surface and resolve dampness (relieving evils from the external senses and dispelling dampness within the body), regulate qi and neutralize the middle (regulating the qi of the spleen and stomach, so as to make the functions of spleen and stomach smooth). It is used for summer-dampness cold, headache, body weight and chest tightness, or malignant cold (fear of cold) and fever, distension and pain in the epigastrium (stomach and abdomen), vomiting and diarrhea. The adverse reactions and contraindications of this medicine are not known.
Fangfeng Tongsheng Pill is composed of Fangfeng, Thornybush, Mentha piperita, Ephedra, Rheum palmatum, Manganese nitrate and Gardenia, etc. It can detoxify the epidermis, clear the interior, clear heat and detoxify the toxin. It is used for external cold and internal heat, both the surface and the inside are solid, malignant cold and strong heat, headache and dry throat, short and red urine (small amount of urine, dark yellow color), constipation, rubella, wet sores. The adverse effects and contraindications of this drug are not known.
