Is 1.96 triglycerides high blood fat?

Triglyceride 1.96 is not hyperlipidemia. Clinically, the reference range of triglyceride in blood biochemistry examination is divided into: appropriate level 0.56~1.70mmol/L; borderline level 1.70~2.30mmol/L; elevated >2.30mmol/L. Therefore, triglyceride of 1.96mmol/L is borderline level, which is not considered elevated. Clinically, only triglycerides are elevated, known as hypertriglyceridemia; only total cholesterol is elevated, known as hypercholesterolemia; total cholesterol and triglycerides are elevated known as mixed hyperlipidemia. Although triglyceride 1.96mmol/L is at a borderline level and is not considered elevated, it is likely to continue to rise and lead to the development of hypertriglyceridemia or even hyperlipidemia if it is not taken seriously and the original lifestyle and dietary habits are not changed. Therefore, patients should adhere to a reasonable low-fat diet under the guidance of the doctor, appropriate exercise and quit smoking and limiting alcohol, develop good living habits and monitor the blood lipid level regularly.
