Seborrheic eczema, also known as seborrheic dermatitis, is a very common skin condition that most often affects the scalp and occurs in areas of the body with a dense distribution of sebaceous glands. Currently, seborrheic eczema is thought to be caused by the irritating effect of excess oil in the skin, which leads to redness and greasiness, and by the presence of excess sebum, which predisposes to fungal infections such as Malassezia. When seborrheic eczema appears, it is often found that the skin of seborrheic eczema appears to shed scaly patches, which may be white or yellow, or even red and itchy skin. For the treatment of seborrheic eczema, you must usually pay attention to a light diet, avoid excessive emotional stress, and prohibit spicy and irritating foods, and also apply certain antifungal drugs locally in combination to effectively control the progress of symptoms.
