Calcium hydroxybenzenesulfonate is used in ophthalmology as a therapeutic agent for the vasculature and blood circulation. Clinically, it can be used as a vasoprotective agent, firstly, it can increase the resistance to microvascular wall, reduce pathological hyperpermeability, and it can reduce the viscosity of blood and plasma, reduce the high coagulability of platelets and prevent the formation of thrombus. Secondly, calcium hydroxybenzenesulfonate capsule can eliminate microangiopathy or relieve the patient’s edema, capillary blood leakage, lower extremity heaviness and pressure sensation, and also can treat microangiopathy, such as diabetic microangiopathy – retinopathy and glomerulosclerosis. In addition, Calcium Hydroxybenzenesulfonate can repair microvascular damage and delay the increase of capillary fragility and permeability.
