Epidemiological studies have shown that small eyes, small corneas, hyperopia or orthokeratology over 40 years of age are susceptible to closed-angle glaucoma; myopia, diabetes, fundus hemorrhage, autoimmune diseases, etc. are susceptible to open-angle glaucoma; especially those with a family history of glaucoma have a significantly higher chance of developing glaucoma than the general population. Glaucoma is a typical psychosomatic disease, so these high-risk groups should not be alarmed, not all of them will definitely suffer from glaucoma, but the chance of occurrence is higher than the general population. Without stressing or relaxing, these people should undergo regular (usually 1 to 2 years) eye examinations with a view to early detection of glaucoma.
