Root canal calcification at the root of a tooth can be unblocked by means of root canal files, adjunctive treatment and root canal microscopy.
1. Root canal file: For some teeth with calcified root canals, the pioneer file and C+ file can be used to unblock the root canals. Compared with the traditional K file, the tips of the pioneer file and the C+ file have high hardness and are suitable for unblocking the calcified root canals.
2. Adjuvant treatment: EDTA and sodium hypochlorite can be used to unblock and rinse the root canals, which can lubricate the root canals to a certain extent, remove the calcified area and the tainted layer, and effectively increase the probability of unblocking.
3. Microscope: Through the root canal microscope equipment, the field of view is enlarged and the root canal is unblocked under direct vision, which greatly increases the success rate.
It is recommended that root canal patients with calcified roots go to regular hospital stomatology department for consultation.
