There is no definite limit to how long between surgeries, and it is determined on a case-by-case basis. If it is an emergency surgery or a life-saving surgery, the two surgeries can usually be performed consecutively or at the same time; if it is an elective type of surgery, the interval between the two surgeries can be more than one month or more before scheduling the surgery. If the first surgery is major and the body has not fully recovered to normal after the surgery, or if the 2nd surgery is an elective surgery, it can be appropriately postponed later. Generally, after the surgery, the body needs some time to recover, and if the body recovers well, the second surgery can be considered. If there are complications after the first surgery, timely intervention is needed and the second surgery can be performed only after the situation improves. During the two surgeries, close attention needs to be paid to changes in the patient’s condition.
