What are the causes of fibroids and adrenal thickening?

The following causes of adrenal hyperplasia in uterine fibroids occur.
The adrenal gland is one of the sites where systemic malignancies are prone to metastasis. The cause of adrenal thickening in uterine fibroids may be the metastasis of uterine fibroids to the adrenal gland via the bloodstream, causing the appearance of adrenal metastases. The primary fibroid should be tested to see if it is benign and or malignant. If the fibroid is malignant, imaging of the adrenal gland to determine if it is a metastatic tumour may be considered as the appearance of an unexpected tumour in the adrenal gland if it is benign.
