What’s with the shoulder pain and the crunching when I move it?

Shoulder pain can be caused by sports injury, myofasciitis, rotator cuff injury and frozen shoulder.
1. Sports injury: shoulder trauma, violent impact, can cause local soft tissue or bone damage, fracture or dislocation, resulting in shoulder pain, swelling, deformity and activity limitation and other manifestations, and can be accompanied by rattling.
2. Myofasciitis: long-term chronic strain or exposure to cold can lead to aseptic inflammation of synovial tissue in the joint cavity or under the acromion, etc. Synovial hyperplasia can form bands and cords, and local adhesion occurs, which can cause pain with rattling sound when the shoulder is moving.
3. Rotator cuff injury: trauma, chronic strain injury and degenerative changes can cause rotator cuff injury, resulting in shoulder pain, partly accompanied by rattling, localized swelling and limitation of activities.
4. Frozen shoulder: when frozen shoulder occurs, pain and activity limitation around the shoulder joint can appear, external rotation and abduction and internal rotation and backward extension movements are mainly limited, the shoulder joint is stiff, and the pain can be accompanied by popping sound.
If the shoulder still rattles when you move it, you should consult a doctor in time, and under the guidance of a specialized doctor, you should actively carry out appropriate treatment, which will help to alleviate the uncomfortable symptoms as soon as possible.
