What does reduced cardiac cavity density mean?

Decreased density of the heart chambers suggests the presence of severe anemia, often found during a CT lung examination when the density of the heart chambers and large blood vessels is generally decreased, which requires a routine blood test to look at the hemoglobin values and clarify the degree of anemia. Serum iron, ferritin, folic acid, vitamin B12, reticulocyte count, abnormal red blood cell morphology, and bone marrow aspiration should also be completed to further clarify the cause of anemia. In case of iron deficiency anemia, stool routine needs to be checked. In addition to blood loss in the digestive tract, oral ferrous succinate extended-release tablets can be administered for iron supplementation therapy, and in case of malnutrition anemia, folic acid and vitamin B12 supplementation is needed to replenish the raw materials for hematopoiesis.
