Inpatient surgery requires a complete preoperative examination, including laboratory tests and imaging tests, laboratory tests generally include routine blood, liver and kidney function, blood glucose, blood lipids, electrolytes, and coagulation function, as well as screening for infectious diseases, imaging tests are generally electrocardiogram and chest radiographs, and post-operative application of anti-inflammatory drugs need to be done accordingly with the skin test of the drug. The patient’s tolerance of anesthesia and surgery should be evaluated before surgery, and contraindications to surgery should be excluded, such as saphenous vein stripping, which requires preoperative examination to determine whether the deep veins are patent. Surgery also requires a preoperative interview and the signing of an informed consent form for surgery.
