Is it possible to have cirrhosis of the liver after hepatitis B is cured?

Cirrhosis may also occur after hepatitis B has resolved. Cirrhosis is a pathologic stage that occurs in the development of many liver diseases, and the development of this chronic progressive diffuse liver disease is potentially life-threatening. Although hepatitis B is an important cause of cirrhosis, it does not mean that cirrhosis will not occur after hepatitis B is cured. In addition to hepatitis B, hepatitis C, hepatitis D, chronic alcoholic liver disease, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, long-term cholestasis, liver blood circulation disorders, drugs or toxins, immune disorders, genetic and metabolic disorders, and schistosomiasis are all causes of cirrhosis. All in all, the causes of cirrhosis itself are quite diverse, and simply removing a certain cause cannot effectively prevent cirrhosis from occurring. Individuals need to do a good job in preventing cirrhosis, and should consult a doctor in time if there is any abnormality in the body.
