Symptoms of fecal stone appendicitis

The typical symptom of fecal stone appendicitis is metastatic right lower abdominal pain with progressive worsening. The nature of the right lower abdominal pain in fecal stone appendicitis is a distending sensation with limited peritonitis. If a patient with fecal stone appendicitis has a transient fecal stone obstruction, there will be a sudden and significant pain relief. Because the appendix is a long blind end of the tract, appendiceal emptying can be limited. During an attack of fecal appendicitis, the contents of the appendix become ectopic and glandular, the appendix becomes obstructed in emptying, and the intracavitary pressure increases, resulting in pain. For fecal lithic appendicitis, once the diagnosis is confirmed, surgery should be chosen and the patient should be encouraged to get out of bed early after the surgery.
