What to look for in a patient with stomach cancer

Daily care of stomach cancer includes the following aspects: 1. Diet and nutrition care: patients need to develop good living and dietary habits, have regular diets, and eat foods that are fragrant and delicious, rich in balanced nutrition and easy to digest. For early gastric cancer patients, they should be given easy-to-digest food, food rich in protein and fat and cooked badly, try to reduce crude fiber in food, and avoid rough food which is not easy to be digested as much as possible. As for gastric sinus cancer, especially ulcerative gastric sinus cancer, soft food or semi-fluid food must be given. The food should not be too cold or too hot, as the change of temperature will also easily cause the change of blood vessels of gastric mucous membrane, which in turn will cause bleeding, and smoking and alcohol as well as spicy and stimulating food must be forbidden; 2. Psychological Nursing Care: When taking care of patients with gastric cancer, attention should be paid to find out their emotional changes, and necessary information should be provided according to the degree of need and acceptance ability of the patients. As far as possible, non-technical language should be used so that patients can understand and help analyze favorable conditions and progress in treatment, so as to make patients see hope, eliminate patients’ worries and negative psychology, and enhance confidence in treatment, so that patients can actively cooperate with the treatment and nursing care; 3. Environmental nursing: patients with gastric cancer need to have a cozy living environment and not too noisy. Family members of patients should understand the family nursing methods of stomach cancer, keep good thought exchange with patients, not to be indifferent to patients, and also find out and exclude all kinds of troubles of patients in time.
