The treatment of beard folliculitis includes general treatment and anti-infection treatment.
1. General treatment: keep the skin clean and hygienic, prohibit scratching with hands, and avoid scratching the skin when shaving.
2. Anti-infection treatment: local antibiotics such as erythromycin ointment and mupirocin ointment are given for treatment. The skin lesions are large, the symptoms are repeated, or local treatment is ineffective oral antibiotic treatment, such as cefixime.
Beard folliculitis is generally caused by bacterial infection, drug treatment need to follow the doctor’s instructions, avoid self-medication.
