Typology and treatment of prune’s nucleus

Plum nucleus qi (similar to pharyngeal allodynia) is typed as liver qi stagnation (poor qi and blood transportation in the liver, emotional depression), phlegm qi interconnection (phlegm in the body accompanied by poor qi circulation) and other syndromes, and is usually treated with medicines and acupuncture. 1. Liver-qi stagnation: its manifestations include emotional disaffection (emotionally unhappy), fullness in the chest and ribs (chest and ribs), and sighing, etc., and it should be treated with Puanxuan in order to dredge the liver and move qi to resolve stagnation (to relieve stagnation by unobstructed flow of qi); acupuncture can be used for Taichong, Ximen, Zhangmen and other acupoints. 2. Phlegm-qi interlocks: manifestations include mental depression, chest and hypochondrium distension and fullness, pharyngeal obstruction, coughing, swallowing, and white and greasy texture, etc., and Half Xia and Hou Pu Tang should be given to dredge the Liver to move qi and relieve depression, and dissolve phlegm to disperse the interlocks; acupoints such as Taichong, Lianquan, Ximen, Fenglong, and Yinlingquan should be needled. Acupuncture points need to be operated by professional Chinese medicine practitioners; dizziness, nausea and other adverse reactions may occur during acupuncture; acupuncture is contraindicated for those who are overfed, overfed and extremely fatigued; pregnant women should be cautious of acupuncture. It is recommended that patients actively go to the hospital for consultation and treatment, and do not take drugs at will to avoid delaying the condition.
