What can I do about a bump of flesh above my gums that doesn’t hurt?

Flesh lumps above the gums without pain, mainly caused by periodontal disease, apical periodontitis or gum tumors, it is recommended to seek medical treatment for periodontal therapy or root canal treatment.
1. Periodontal disease is poor oral hygiene, resulting in the interaction of bacteria and food debris to produce a large amount of tartar or calculus; its repeated stimulation of periodontal tissues will appear inflammation and swelling of the gums and bleeding and other symptoms, that is, the appearance of the symptoms of the bumps, but there is no obvious pain.
2. The patient must undergo periodontal treatment (e.g., ultrasonic scaling or periodontal treatment) to remove the irritants in order to effectively reduce the swelling. In addition, if the gingival hyperplasia is severe and the swelling cannot be reduced by conventional periodontal treatment, surgical excision can be performed to restore the normal shape of the gums.
3. Apical periodontitis is a condition in which pulpitis is not treated in time, leading to inflammatory substances in the root canal spreading to the periodontal tissues through the apical foramen, resulting in abscesses or fistulas, i.e., pimples with pus oozing out of the gums; and chronic inflammation is usually painless.
Root canal treatment must be carried out to clean up the necrotic and inflammatory substances in the root canal in order to effectively reduce inflammation and swelling.
4. Gum tumor: a lump above the gums may also be a tumor of the gums, need to clarify the nature of the pathology, and surgical resection and other treatments.
