Cervical polyps are likely to recur. Most women with cervical polyps will not recur after surgery, and very few women will experience recurrence. Cervical polyp treatment is mainly minimally invasive surgery under colposcopy, which is low risk, fast recovery, less trauma and fewer complications. There may be poor exposure of the surgical field, poor control of bleeding during surgery, and even incomplete surgical excision may occur. The causes of cervical polyps are mainly related to local inflammatory stimulation as well as environmental factors, dietary habits and personal constitution, and the specific pathogenesis is not particularly clear. The probability of cervical cancer is very low and human papillomavirus examination is needed after cervical polyp surgery for biopsy to avoid malignant transformation.
