Is a negative iodine test cervical cancer?

A negative iodine test is not necessarily cervical cancer.
Negative iodine test is only one of the items in cervical screening. Under normal circumstances, the cervix will turn brown after applying povidone-iodine, that is, positive iodine test, if the cervix does not have any coloring, that is, negative iodine test, the cause of which is more complicated, and it may be caused by atrophy of the cervix, inflammation, cancer and so on, and it may not necessarily be cervical cancer.
If cervical cancer is suspected, cytology and pathological tissue biopsy should be carried out for the lesion, and the cause can be determined according to the final result. If cervical cancer is suspected, radical surgical resection should be carried out in the early stage, and radiotherapy and chemotherapy should be carried out for the inoperable cases.
