How to treat myopia in children

Myopia in children can be treated through physical therapy as well as glasses to improve vision. Myopia in children can be categorized into two types: true myopia and pseudomyopia, which are treated differently. Pseudomyopia is reversible, and children can relax their eyes through eye massage and distant viewing, thus restoring their vision and improving their eyesight. The child should also pay attention to reasonable treatment, and avoid prolonged reading, writing, looking at cell phones and other close eye use. If the child is truly myopic, true myopia is generally irreversible and cannot be restored. However, myopia can be corrected by wearing glasses to improve vision. If the myopia is stabilized in adulthood, myopia correction surgery can also be performed to improve vision. Children with myopia are advised to consult a doctor to evaluate their condition and follow the doctor’s instructions.
