Abiraterone acetate tablets are used to treat metastatic desmoplasia-resistant prostate cancer and newly diagnosed high-risk metastatic endocrine therapy-sensitive prostate cancer, the latter of which includes conditions that have not been treated with endocrine therapy or have been treated with endocrine therapy for a maximum of three months. The drug is an inhibitor of androgen biosynthesis, which, among other things, reduces patients’ serum testosterone and other androgen levels. The most common adverse reactions to the drug are peripheral edema, hypokalemia, hypertension, and urinary tract infections, while important adverse reactions such as cardiac disease, hepatotoxicity, fractures, and allergic alveolitis may also occur. It is contraindicated in the presence of hypersensitivity to the drug; in women who are pregnant or at risk of pregnancy; and in those with severe hepatic impairment (Child-Pugh class C). If you need to use the drug, please be sure to take the drug under the guidance of a doctor and strictly follow the instructions of the doctor, do not use the drug at will.
