Patients with kidney cancer have the clinical stage of the tumour determined by the results of imaging, the patient’s ability to tolerate treatment is assessed using ancillary tests, and the appropriate treatment is selected based on the clinical stage and combined with the patient’s tolerance.
For patients undergoing surgery the pathological stage is determined based on the results of pathological examination, and post-operative treatment and follow-up plans are selected based on the pathological stage.
