Purulent tonsillitis is a common clinical infection of the upper respiratory tract. The main causative agents are Streptococcus haemolyticus, Haemophilus influenzae, Streptococcus pneumoniae and Staphylococcus aureus. Clinical treatment is based on the principle of removing the focal pathogenic bacteria, and oral medication or intravenous drip is decided according to the severity of the patient’s condition.
