Advantages of single-port laparoscopic cholecystectomy

In recent years, the incidence of diseases of the hepatobiliary system has shown a yearly increase, and the application of cholecystectomy has also increased significantly. With the continuous development of laparoscopic technology, its application in general surgery has been gradually and widely promoted. Laparoscopic cholecystectomy has become the “gold standard” for the surgical treatment of benign gallbladder diseases with the characteristics of small trauma, fast recovery and short hospital stay. Minimally invasive is the development direction of surgical treatment, and how to reduce the trauma to the minimum during the implementation of surgery is a hot spot for future research in general surgery. Transumbilical single-port laparoscopic cholecystectomy adopts a single incision, which is relatively less traumatic, and the local skin is thin and soft, so the incision pain is not very obvious. The results show that the postoperative exhaust time, postoperative gastrointestinal function recovery time and hospitalization time are all lower, suggesting that transumbilical single-port laparoscopic cholecystectomy has a small incision, short operation time, less bleeding and fast recovery, which is worthy of clinical promotion and application. At the same time, postoperative complications of transumbilical single-port laparoscopic cholecystectomy treatment were lower. In conclusion, transumbilical single-hole laparoscopic cholecystectomy for the treatment of patients with cholecystitis is less invasive, less bleeding, faster recovery, and less postoperative complications, which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
