What should I do if my waist is bulging forward?

Physiological anterior convexity of the lumbar spine usually does not need treatment. Excessive anterior convexity of the lumbar spine can be diagnosed as lumbar spondylolisthesis, which can be treated with conservative treatment and surgery.
1. Conservative treatment: Non-surgical treatment such as bed rest, traction and brace protection can be given to effectively relieve pain, limp and other symptoms.
2. Surgery: Surgery can be given to patients whose conservative treatment is ineffective or who have nerve damage. According to the indications of surgery, posterior decompression bone grafting and fusion internal fixation can be given.
Normal adults have 3 physiologic curvatures, i.e. cervical lordosis, thoracic lordosis and lumbar lordosis. The lordosis of the lumbar spine generally does not require treatment because the lumbar spine itself is physiologically lordotic. Lumbar spondylolisthesis is diagnosed when the vertebral body slips forward relative to the next vertebral body, which requires treatment.
Lumbar spondylolisthesis should be treated in a timely and standardized manner to avoid adverse consequences.
