A grade II partial tear of the medial patellar support ligament injury suggests conservative treatment. Injuries to the medial patellar support ligament are categorized into 3 grades: grade I injuries are often ligament sprains; grade II injuries are partial tears of the medial collateral ligament, and grade III is complete tears of the superficial and deep medial collateral ligaments. Sprain or partial rupture of the medial supporting ligament grade II is recommended to be treated conservatively, with local braking, elevation of the affected limb, immobilization with a cast or brace, and removal of the cast or brace to go down to the ground and start weight-bearing activities if the bone scabs are formed and the recovery is good in 4~6 weeks. If the medial patellar support ligament injury partial tear grade II, it is recommended that the patient actively cooperate with the doctor for standardized treatment, so as not to delay the condition.
