What’s wrong with your child’s ear pain?

  In fact, there are many kinds of diseases that cause ear pain. In addition to otogenic diseases, some non-otogenic diseases can also cause pain in the ear, the common ones are as follows: 1. Head trauma that causes injury to the skin of the ear and internal damage by external forces.  2. Boils in the external ear canal, otitis externa, otitis media, tumors in the outer ear, middle ear, and inner ear, etc.  3.Some diseases around the ear can also cause ear pain, such as mumps, cervical synostosis, acute pharyngitis, nasopharyngeal tumor, jaw joint dysfunction, gingivitis, lymphadenitis, etc.  4. Neuropathic pain, which manifests as ear pain, but in fact this pain is throbbing pain, mostly nerve pain, and is not a disease of the ear itself.  5. Ear herpes, which is related to viral infection, is more common in the ear. The ear pain caused by it resembles pins and needles or burning-like, which is very unpleasant, and in a few cases, it can be accompanied by facial nerve paralysis, hearing loss, nausea, vomiting, and other symptoms.  Therefore, children with swollen and painful ears need to go to the hospital in time to be examined by a doctor to find the cause of the ear pain and give the appropriate treatment.
