A lump on the inner thigh is not necessarily cancer. It depends on the nature and density of the lump, and mainly on what the pathological findings of the lump are, which can be judged first. If the inner thigh lump is red, swollen, hot and painful it may be an inflammatory mass. If the fat density is high, very soft and smooth it may be a lipoma. The mass of malignant tumor has a harder texture, poor mobility, unclear boundary, adhesion and fixation with surrounding tissues. Of course, the specific nature can be done by local puncture biopsy, or complete excision to see the pathological nature under microscope. If cancer cells are found, it can be diagnosed as cancer, if it is fat cells, it is lipoma.
