If there is localized hematoma or bruising, muscle strain caused by trauma should be excluded. In this case, giving the patient brakes, ice packs, and microwave physiotherapy after a period of time can relieve the symptoms. If trauma is excluded, then pain in the medial thigh should be considered for benign lipomas, neurofibromas, and other masses in the medial side. A local ultrasound or MRI can assist in making a definitive diagnosis. Other rare cases are hip disorders such as hip dysplasia and acetabular impingement syndrome that cause pain that can radiate to the medial thigh, causing soreness and pain on the medial side.
