Difference between Poria cocos and Vitex

Poria cocos and Vitis vinifera are two kinds of medicines, their efficacy, main treatment and so on are different. Difference in efficacy: Poria cocos has the efficacy of detoxification, removing dampness, and facilitating the joints. Vajrapani has the effect of activating blood circulation and removing blood stasis (promoting blood circulation and eliminating blood stasis in the body), and detoxifying and dispersing knots. Differences in Indications: Poria cocos is used for treating prune sores, contracture of limbs, gonorrhea (cloudy urine and leukorrhea), eczema, itching, carbuncle, swollen sores and poisons. Vitex is used to treat rheumatism and paralysis, swelling and pain of falling, furuncle (mostly occurring on the limbs or face of the sores, the shape of the small root base of the deep, as hard as nails) scrofula (mainly refers to the cervical lymph node nodules tuberculosis). Caution should be exercised in taking Tu Fu Ling if there is deficiency of Yin in the liver and kidney (deficiency of Yin fluid in the liver and kidney).
